Computer Information Systems - Technology and Integration Support Certificate

PGM Code – 608C 

Program Description Students will develop the skills needed to obtain entry level IT positions in computer and network support, including: installing, configuring, upgrading, supporting, troubleshooting, and repairing computers and wired and wireless networks. Maps to the CompTIA A+ and Net+ industry certification exams.

Credit/Grade Requirements The Technology and Integration Support Certificate program is awarded upon a student’s completion of the required 44 credits from the program requirements as outlined. A minimum of 30 credits or one-third, whichever is less, of the required credits must have been received from Edmonds CC. Students are required to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 in all college level courses as well as a minimum grade point average of 2.8 within the program requirements OR satisfactory completion of 44 credits of CIS 205 through the PACE-IT program.

Entry Requirements CIS 100 or equivalent experience.

High School Transition Program Students (Tech Prep, College in the High School, and Running Start) It is recommended that high school students who have earned college credit through dual credit programs meet with a college adviser.

Students Are Advised To

  • Plan their schedule several quarters in advance in order to accommodate courses that are offered only once or twice a year,
  • Review the college catalog for required course prerequisites and include these in schedule planning,
  • Communicate with an academic adviser, and
  • Submit an Evaluation Request - Transfer Credits Form (available in Enrollment Services) to activate the process of transferring credits to Edmonds CC.

Graduation Application A completed Graduation Application form must be submitted online by the 10th day of the quarter in which the student expects to graduate. Note: Applications for summer quarter are due by the 8th day of the quarter.
