Program Description Graduates of this program will have mastered basics to advanced composites skills. Skills acquired or improved upon will cover manufacturing and repair as well as advanced materials and methods used throughout much of the industry. Introduction to a variety of common materials used in fiber/matrix composites, their safety considerations and general properties which can be achieved with different manufacturing and orientation procedures. The techniques covered will include surface, potted, and taper sanded methods.
Credit/Grade Requirements The certificate is awarded upon completion of 4.5 credits from the courses listed below. All required credits must be earned at Edmonds CC. A 3.0 grade point average is required for this certificate.

Program Requirements (4.5 Credits)
OUTCOMES:
- Demonstrate a variety of methods used to fabricate and manufacture fiber reinforced composites.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the advantages and disadvantages of different processes, and safety and tooling considerations.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the area of inspection, documentation and composite repair.
