ACCT 216 - Accounting Software Applications 5.0 Credits Prepares students to interact with computerized accounting systems with a major focus on Quickbooks software. Major concepts of computerized accounting will be introduced including, accounts receivable and accounts payable maintenance and financial statement generation. Prerequisite: Minimum ENGL placement into EAP 121 or BRDGE 093 and ACCT 101 or instructor’s permission.
Course Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate how to set up QuickBooks files, create invoices, pay bills, record deposit and prepare bank reconciliations. [REASON]
- Prepare accounts receivable and accounts payable aging reports. [REASON]
- Interpret and communicate QuickBooks information and reports. [COMMUNICATE]
