BUS 166 - Advanced Credit Management


3.0 Credits
The coordination of the technical skills used on the legal, financial, management level incorporating elements of planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling. This is the first in a series of ACAP courses leading to the CBF certification. Prerequisite: CBA Certification or instructor’s permission. Course Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Interpret the role of the Credit Department within the organization and the business world. [EXPLORE]
  2. Define the functions of management and interpret the operational requirements of each as they relate to the Credit Department. [REASON]
  3. Demonstrate the ability to identify and utilize the skills required to successfully manage the Credit Department. [REASON]
