CONST 282 - Building Codes III, Inspection
3.0 Credits
A study of building inspection including masonry, concrete, wood, steel construction, glazing, excavation, grading, special inspection of residential and commercial building. Application of the International Building Code and applicable parts of the IRC. Prerequisite: CONST 280 .
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe the intent of specific code requirements by process of application. [REASON]
- Apply multiple code sections for desired outcomes. [REASON]
- Demonstrate an empirical and reasonable approach to building inspection process. [REASON]
- Apply organized code process allowing multiple solutions to a singular problem. [REASON]
