POLS 224 - The European Union 5.0 Credits Designed to familiarize students with the origin, purpose, and future of the European Union. Attention will be on the process and politics of “enlargement” and the European Union’s relationship with the United States (was POLSC 224). Prerequisite: Placement in ENGL& 101 (was ENGL 105) recommended.
Course Objectives Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe the origins, purposes, organization, activities, and future of the European Union. [EXPLORE]
- Apply the theoretical language and practice of political science to analysis of contemporary socio-political events. [REASON]
- Communicate their knowledge, analysis, and viewpoint with other students. [COMMUNICATE]
