ECON 120 - General Economics
5.0 Credits A survey of economic principles applied to a wide range of social problems. Domestic markets, government intervention, inflation, and the global economy are all considered. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:- Apply supply and demand analysis to a variety of examples.
- Calculate how firms maximize profits.
- Describe the determinants of aggregate spending and multiplier effects.
- Explain and demonstrate how the tools of fiscal and monetary policies affect the economy.
- Use comparative advantage to explain the role of foreign trade.
