Geometry will focus on the standards for mathematical practice to include exploring congruence, similarity, right triangles, circles, expressing geometric properties with equations, geometric measurement and dimension and modeling. For HSC students to fulfill high school math requirements. Departmental advising required before taking this course. S/U grade option.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Apply advanced concepts in algebra and geometry to solve real life problems and projects.
Know and prove theorems about two and three dimensional geometric figures.
Read, interpret and create advanced charts, graphs and tables that illustrate real world data.
Identify appropriate mathematical connections between geometry and algebra to solve problems about shapes and space.
Use mathematical reasoning to evaluate the reasonableness of results.
Utilize technology to gather and manage data related to learning progress and present it in a meaningful context.
Work with peers to select, manage, and assess their own learning progress.
