AMMET 350 - Additive and Subtractive Manufacturing

Topics include traditional manufacturing techniques, such as CNC machining, as well as newer developing technologies such as 3D printing. Students will use these systems to create parts and assemblies.
Prerequisite Completion of AMMET 318 with a 2.0 or greater.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Determine effective methods of setting up additive manufacturing systems.
Create parts by programming and using CNC machines.
Evaluate the different techniques of additive and subtractive manufacturing.
Work in teams to design and build complex structures using a combination of additive and subtractive manufacturing techniques.
