AMMET 351 - Manufacturing Systems, Automation and Operations
5.0 Credits This class covers a variety of manufacturing systems and how to determine their best application. Students will learn about automation and how it can be used effectively in a manufacturing environment. Techniques to build and maintain a production operation will be covered. Prerequisite Admittance to the Advanced Manufacturing and Materials Engineering Technology program is required to take this course. Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:- Evaluate the role of project management in a variety of contemporary organizational structures.
- Define different manufacturing operations and determine the optimal system for a given production need.
- Apply the theories of manufacturing operations to real world situations.
- Design and operate an automation system to accomplish in production operation.
