AMMET 400 - Product Design, Tooling and Assembly

Introduction to the design and production process. Students will work on all aspects of product design from idea to production release. Alternative process will be presented for students to determine the optimum solutions to various design/production issues.
Prerequisite Completion of AMMET 351 with a 2.0 or higher.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Evaluate the difference between part design and tooling design.
Evaluate the common design methodologies, including Design Build Teams.
Utilize project management techniques to create an assembly using design, tooling, and assembly techniques.
Evaluate different assembly techniques.
