An intermediate ESL reading course emphasizing strategies to increase comprehension, speed, and vocabulary in order to develop solid reading skills. An integrated approach is set within the context of American popular culture and its values, presented in thematic units. Registration permitted first seven weeks as space is available.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate improved skimming, scanning, predicting, reading for detailed comprehension, and articulation of main ideas.
