IHCM 400 - Leadership and Management in Health and Human Services Organizations

Examines the nature, function, and techniques of administration and leadership in HHS organizations. Topics include the ever-changing healthcare environment, trends impacting leadership competencies, and specific healthcare factors that influence the organization of varying health systems such as hospitals and ambulatory care facilities.
Prerequisite Admission to IHCM - BAS program.

Distinguish between the concepts of leadership and management and identify the contributions that each make to the success of the organization.
Analyze different leadership styles, and translate self-assessment into personal plans for improvement of leadership and management skills.
