ROBAI 330 - Data Structure and Data Pre-processing

5.0 Credits
This course focuses on teaching fundamental data structures and data pre-processing techniques essential for robotics and Artificial Intelligence manufacturing systems. Students will gain hands-on experience in managing, cleaning, and preparing data for analysis and machine learning applications. The course also introduces Structured Query Language (SQL) for basic database interactions and practical data management relevant to manufacturing applications. Completion of CS 103 & CS 115 with 2.0 or greater.
Prerequisite Admittance to ROBAI Program.
Course-level Learning Objectives (CLOs)
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Implement common data structures (e.g., arrays, linked lists, trees, graphs).
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of data pre-processing techniques essential for preparing data for AI and ML applications.
  3. Develop Python-based solutions to manage and manipulate data relevant to robotics and mechatronics.
  4. Apply appropriate techniques to clean, integrate, and transform noisy or incomplete real-world data.
