Edmonds Career Access Program (EdCAP)

Program Description The Edmonds Career Access Program (EdCAP) is a partnership between Edmonds College and the Edmonds School District. EdCAP provides young adults, ages 16-21, with an opportunity to earn a GED®, an Edmonds School District High School Diploma, or any AA degree or certificate offered by EC. English Language Acquisition (ELA), career planning, academic development, and EdCAP success classes are key components of the program. Tuition and books are provided at no cost to the student.
Entry Requirements Students must be no younger than 16 years old and no older than 20 years old on September 1 of the school year that they are enrolling in. Students must be deficient in credits or have a recommendation from a school counselor identifying EdCAP as a suitable option for them. Approval is determined by the Edmonds School District.
When to apply? Students may begin EdCAP during the fall, winter, or spring quarters. Students should plan to apply one quarter in advance. Students are advised to: - Meet regularly with their case manager;
- Attend all classes and complete all coursework; and
- Utilize campus resources early and often
