The Career Action Center (CAC) has two departments: 1) Business Outreach and 2) Worker Retraining.
Business Outreach creates connections and career opportunities between employers and students. The primary services include providing a list of jobs and internships, a resource room for students to get help with job or internship search. Business Outreach also produces career events and weekly workshops to help students connect to the labor market.
The Worker Retraining Program provides tuition and book assistance to students who qualify. Worker Retraining also helps students who are also collecting unemployment insurance coordinate with the Employment Security Department.
Job Search Assistance:
We have job listings for part-time and full-time jobs and internships. Some of the positions are exclusively for Edmonds College students and graduates! You can access the listings at Handshake. After creating your account, search online for jobs and internships. If you need assistance getting started, come to the CAC, and we’ll be happy to help you at a computer in MLT 138.
Career Exploration:
The Career Action Center offers help to students who are unsure about what career direction to pursue. Students can take a quick inventory of what they are interested in and discuss the results with a staff person to see what path is best.
Computer Resource Room:
The Computer Resource Room (CRR), located in MLT 138, has computers, telephone and a fax machine available for your career exploration and job search needs. Our CRR also houses reference materials on career exploration, job search, internships, and the labor market.
