Edmonds College is committed to student success and has developed an Early Alert Progress System.
Throughout each quarter, instructors can report students who are not making satisfactory academic progress and/or who are not attending class regularly. Students reported will be notified of their instructor’s concerns by a letter or phone call from Student Services staff, who will also offer resources and support you need to succeed academically and personally.
Instructors can provide any pertinent information about a student’s academic performance. Since instructors may report on students throughout the quarter, students can expect to be contacted more than once if academic difficulties persist. Reports submitted will not go on a student’s academic records. Instructors may also provide satisfactory updates for students involved in certain support programs.
