Title IX: Gender-Based Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.
In compliance with Title IX, Edmonds College is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful learning and working environment free from all forms of sex-based discrimination. This includes, but is not
limited to:
- Sexual Harassment
- Sexual Assault
- Dating Violence
- Domestic Violence
- Stalking
- Retaliation
How to Report
Reports of gender-based discrimination or sexual misconduct may be directed to the College’s Title IX

Reports may also be submitted through the College’s online reporting system.
Support and Resources
Supportive measures are available to individuals involved in a Title IX matter, regardless of whether a formal complaint is filed. These may include:
- Academic Adjustments
- Counseling Services
- No-Contact Directives
- Safety Planning and Other Supportive Resources
